Where is Gali?

A little clone of the content of my LJ, just in case it ever goes down for good.

Almost everything around you is artificial.

One of cool things about working in a uni, besides having access to tons of scientific journals, is that you get to see the final results of many projects at the end of the year. Some of the stuff is really cool and I always wonder a bit if people also found the project we did back in the day just as cool? I mean we had a full on recycling trashcan 2.0 that could even break glass and everything. It was a crazy idea but it was awesome and it incorporated tons of different pretty awesome things together. It’s hard to believe that was only five (four and a half? five and a half?) years ago, feels like it’s been a decade at least!

(Engineering design is still design! Actually that’s one point I even had to include in my thesis, “design” is often perceived as just being all about the artistic and aesthetic part of artefacts when actually the engineering side plays a huge role.)
