Where is Gali?

A little clone of the content of my LJ, just in case it ever goes down for good.

Now for a cup of tea.

The problem with The Bike (yep, that’s the official name now)? Every other sport in comparison now seems so bothersome and lame. Who needs to run when you can get just get on that bike and ride? Who needs to swim? The Bike provides me with all the entertainment I need! Who needs to do stuff like running behind a frisbee?

Of course it’s all fun and games up until you wake up on a Saturday morning and it looks like the skies have decided to drench the whole of Helsinki in about two months’ worth of rain (I might be slightly exaggerating… but it’s my southern side that’s coming out). It’s not that I suck at road cycling, I just suck at road cycling fast in non-optimal conditions. Heck, I can barely corner properly on dry road when I’m going fast, on wet pavement it’s even worse. Those white road markings are also not a lot of fun.

And so I went for a run, it was good, it was wet, it was rather cold and the best part was coming home and putting everything in the sink. You’d have thought that someone would have told Helsinki that we’re now in June and that 9C is rather cold.

Oh, I know, I shouldn’t complain. Some people have to deal with heat waves and droughts… I know. 12 kilometers in the rain and wind, there have been worse things. Heck, I used to run in the snow and on ice!

And no longer have a clue where this was going before my inner crybaby came out!
