I think I’m starting to get a certain reputation here: the queen of pumpkin! Yes. I know. They don’t use pumpkin at all here and the fresh pumpkin can only be found during three months per year and they’re gone from the stores about a week after Halloween. But I was able to make pumpkin desserts because I managed to find real American (Libby’s) pumpkin puree at the K Citymarket in Sello! So I present the mini pumpkin pies before going into the oven. I kind of forgot to take pictures afterwards…
I also made some pumpkin bread and for the first time I tried the tin can option, it was delicious!
On Saturday we had a CouchSurfing Christmas party and I tried making proper CS sugar cookies, I failed because the batter refused to set in the fridge. I had to improvise with what I had.
I got tired of CS cookies so I made some thin cookies, yummy!
Today I was told about the Dickerdoodles over at Penny Arcade. Perhaps I can try to make something for that… worse case we’ll have cookies, best case I’ll also win something.

I think I have to move to Finland, even if it’s just for the CS meetings. I want pumpkin pies!
You should drop by for one of our meetings, actually this weekend we’re having a huge CS Nordic Countries meeting with parties/scavenger hunt/sauna and all that dazzle (sorry, had to use dazzle…)
The K-stores have some American foods now, I don’t know why or how long but there was pretty much at our local too. And I like Behnford’s, here is the link if you don’t know it yet:

It’s a nice store but it’s overpriced like hell and I’m in a stage in life where I’m not ready to pay 7.5e for a box Captain Crunch which is worth less than $3 in the US :p But it’s true that they have pretty much everything you want there… well UK/US related.
