Imagine going on for days and days with about 7 hours of daylight and never seeing the sun during that period. That’s what’s the worst part about Finland. I think I’ll have to start up on coffee again, or really strong black tea. Either way I’ll need some help with the upcoming days.
I really miss the snow, during the snow storm, we didn’t have any sun but since everything was white, it felt less depressing. It doesn’t look like it’s going to snow in the upcoming days though. I’m a sad panda now.

Some (perhaps) useful suggestions
Well, I’ve heard solariums do wonders, but as I personally don’t like them much I wouldn’t advise it. YRMV. And you might want to look into bright light therapy and/or dawn simulation. Actually you might find the suggestions on this site helpful. I think I need to find a dawn simulator of my own. It sounds so wonderful!
And if all else fails, invest in candles. ‘Tis what I do mostly.
Keep in mind that even though it will get darker still, there most likely will be snow this year! Huzzah! Then it’ll be okay.
*hugs*
Oh, and eating porridge in the mornings helps too. It gives such a nice warm feeling for part of the day. I realise it might sound silly, but it’s true.
Re: Some (perhaps) useful suggestions
I’ve heard that dawn simulation works rather well but I’m not really sure if I’m the right person for that kind of stuff.
Right now I’m just telling myself that soon enough I’ll be in the Alps with proper sun and then a week at my parents with even more proper sun. I think I’ll survive but next year I’m thinking of doing a month or two of work just my laptop, a wifi connection and a sandy beach somewher warm :p
